U.S. 12 closed down twice Monday by three vehicle accident and by downed power line

BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - Two sections of U-S-12 in Branch County were shut down for several hours yesterday on opposite ends of the county, with one of the closures for a 3-vehicle injury accident and the other for a downed power line. The crash happened around 3:15 pm Monday afternoon in Bronson Township near Wildlife Road. The accident, which included a head-on collision, is under investigation by the Branch County Sheriff’s Department. Further details weren’t immediately available.

U-S-12 was blocked between Central and Log Roads for nearly 2 1/2 hours. Earlier in the village of Quincy, a low hanging power and cable line required a detour off of U-S-12 while the highway was closed from Main Street to Arnold Street to allow Consumers Energy and Charter crews to repair to the line and utility pole.  The road was blocked from 10:15 am yesterday morning to shortly after 12:30 p.m.
