MIAMI, FL (WTVB) - LeBron James is headed to free agency. The Miami Heat were informed Tuesday that the four-time NBA MVP will opt out of his contract. Heat president Pat Riley said he wasn't surprised by the news. James had a June 30th decision deadline and was scheduled to earn $20 million next season. Miami reached the NBA Finals in each of James' four years with the club, winning back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013.
