ARLINGTON, TX (WTVB) - The Tigers beat the Rangers 8-6 last night in Arlington for their sixth straight win.  Victor Martinez and J.D. Martinez hit back to back home runs in the fifth inning and Miguel Cabrera had two RBI.  Anibal Sanchez got the win, surrendering four runs on six hits while striking out five in five and one third innings of work, while Joe Nathan notched his 16 save of the season.

In tonight's series finale, Rick Porcello gets the nod for Detroit and Texas counters with Nick Martinez.

San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum is celebrating his second career no-hitter.  He held the San Diego Padres hitless in a 4-0 win at AT&T Park.  Lincecum went 2-for-3 at the plate with a walk and two runs scored.  He retired the final 23 batters he faced after a one-out walk in the second inning.  Will Venable grounded out to second base to end the game.  The two-time National League Cy Young winner walked one and struck out six.  Lincecum threw his first career no-hitter also against the Padres just last July in San Diego.  Christy Mathewson is the only other Giant with two career no-hitters.
