COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - There was more bare ground showing in Branch County yesterday, the most seen since late December when Christmas trees were taken out to the curbsides to be picked up in Coldwater. But no more as the color brown is now white again with lots of snow and blowing snow. It arrived with this latest winter storm between 4 and 4:30 am this morning. The school snow announcements arrived soon after, first as 2-hour delays and then classes all across Branch County were closed for the day. A winter storm warning remains in effect until 5 pm this afternoon.
Motorists that don’t slow down today and keep a safe distance between their car and the vehicle ahead of them risk a fender bender or a slide off into the ditch. And don’t forget to keep your headlights on during the day because of limited visibility at times with the blowing snow.
