ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) - The members of the International Order of King’s Daughters and Sons (Angola Circle of the Lakes) recently presented proud new parents Jordan and Ashley Eldridge with a book for their daughter, Kenzie Louise. This partnership with the OB department of Cameron Memorial Community Hospital will provide a new book for each baby born at the hospital.
The group, led by President, Sue Claphan, held fundraisers to purchase books to present to new parents in an effort to promote reading at an early age.
The King’s Daughters and Sons believe strongly in early literacy and reading to an infant. Reading helps children with understanding, increases the child’s vocabulary, and encourages the love of books.
