EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) - Only one high school boys basketball team from southwest Michigan, Benton Harbor, will play in the boys basketball Final Four at the Breslin Center after three others, Hillsdale, Battle Creek St. Philip, and Wayland Union, were all eliminated in last night’s MHSAA quarterfinals. The defeat dropped the Hornets final record to 24-2 with their only other loss coming in their season opener to Pewamo-Westphalia, which advanced to the Class-C semi-finals and a matchup with Muskegon after their 42-41 win last night over two-time defending champion Flint Beecher. And last night at Battle Creek Central, in Class D, Battle Creek St. Philip fell in overtime to Adrian Lenawee Christian 56-51.
