Post season honors for Bronson and Quincy girls basketball teams

BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - The Bronson and Quincy girls basketball teams recently recognized a number of players who received post season awards. At Bronson, five players were honored by the St. Joe Valley Conference. Named to the 8 member All Conference team were senior Liz Baker and juniors Skyler Sobeski and Kinslea Blouin. Senior Grace Pyles was honorable mention while sophomore Kelsey Robinson was special mention.  

At Quincy, the annual awards banquet included senior Andrea Ferrin being named Most Valuable Player and Best Defensive Player along with receiving a Captain Award. Ferrin was also Big Eight All Conference Honorable Mention. The other Captain Awards went to senior Kelsey Bean and Junior Gaby Masson. Most Improved Players were Senior Rike Bornholdt and Junior Kayti Hawkins. Senior Ashton King was named Miss Hustle. Kelsey Bean received the Outstanding Teammate Award and the 100% Award went to sophomore Katie Spalding.

The MHSAA Boys Basketball Final Four tips off today at the Breslin Center with the Class C and Class D semi-finals while the A and B semis are tomorrow followed by the four title games on Saturday. We’ll have each of the championship games on the radio beginning with the Class D final with our live coverage beginning at around 9:50 am Saturday.
