DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - The Red Wings had their 3-game winning streak snapped last night with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild at Joe Louis Arena. Gustav Nyquist scored twice in the first period for Detroit while Tomas Tatar tied the game midway through the third with his 16th goal. Jimmy Howard made 21 saves for the Red Wings who picked up a point to move into a tie with Toronto in the wild card playoff standings. Tomorrow night, it’s Detroit at Columbus.
In minor league hockey, yesterday in the ECHL at Wings Stadium, Kalamazoo beat Ft. Wayne 5-3.
