High school spring sports events still on hold, more post season basketball honors for Galloway and Sobeski

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - In Branch County high school sports, the spring season schedules for county teams are basically on hold after this week’s opening slate of events were called off with next week’s activities in limbo as well because of an extended weather forecast indicating more cold temperatures and showers on the way. Field conditions that have been unplayable and less than safe are expected to remain a question mark for another week-and-a-half with the hint of warmer days ahead by mid-April.

In girls basketball, more post season honors for Coldwater senior standout Kenzie Galloway, who has been selected to the Basketball Coaches Association Of Michigan Class B All-State first team. Galloway earlier this month was Associated Press Class-B All-State honorable mention. She is expected to sign MOnday with Davenport University in Grand Rapids to play basketball next year. Also recognized by the Coaches Association for making Class-C All State honorable mention  was Bronson junior Skyler Sobeski.

Today on the Coaches Corner, we’ll preview Coldwater softball with coach Tina Scheidler.
