DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - The Detroit Red Wings boosted their playoff hopes last night, moving into seventh place in the Eastern Conference with a 3-2 win at home over Tampa Bay. David Legwand's second period goal was the difference for Detroit in their second straight victory after a 3-game skid. Joakim Andersson and Gustav Nyquist both scored in the first period for the Red Wings. Jonas Gustavsson denied 26 of the 28 shots he faced in net for Detroit. The Red Wings next game is Wednesday at Joe Louis Arena against Boston.
