COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - The Branch County Community Foundation will be holding a workshop on Tuesday, May 13, beginning at 10 a.m. to help organizations understand what it means to have a charitable, tax-exempt status---often referred to as 501(c)(3). Participants will get an overview of the steps to get and maintain charitable status with the IRS. Anyone interested in the topic is welcome. The workshop will be especially valuable to groups who have or are considering applying for charitable status. Get more information or make a reservation by calling 278-4517 by May 9.
During the workshop Daniela Angevine, program officer for the Community Foundation, will be addressing attendees on the topic as well as informing them about resources available to assist 501(c)(3) organizations. No registration fee required but donations to the Foundation’s Forever Fund are welcome to assist the Foundation in continuing to offer informational workshops to our community.
