COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Ready…Set…..Go…and Stop…and wait…and then go and stop again…..It’s your notice that the City of Coldwater’s late summer street reconstruction and paving projects are scheduled to be starting up on Friday and last for the next two weeks.
The mill and overlay work means selected streets will be closed to through traffic while the crews are working but open to residents living in the affected areas. Nine different streets will be affected. They are East Washington Street, Jefferson to Elm; Hooker Street from Bennett to Sprague; South Jefferson Street from the Railroad to Lawton; Perkins Street, Division to Jefferson. Hull Street, from Morse to Balfour; Bishop Avenue from Grand to Edison and from Northshore to Wood; West Pearl Street, Monroe to Division; West State Street from Grand to Marshall; and South Clay Street from Pearl to Peckham.
A short section of North Hatchet Street at the opening into the Upson and Milnes City Parking Lots will be closed starting September 9th through the 15th to connect the new utilities into the Upson Plaza. Also, North Michigan Avenue from Concept Drive to State Street will be under construction beginning Monday and continue through the end of the month.
Various sidewalk restorations will also continue around school zones and major streets.
