COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In Branch County high school sports, all was quiet on the schedule yesterday as county teams still alive in the MHSAA spring season state tournaments practiced on Tuesday for the events coming up this weekend. That includes Regional baseball and softball games for Coldwater and Quincy and softball for Bronson as well as the Boys golf State Finals for Coldwater starting on Friday.
Today on the Coaches Corner, it’s Bronson softball coach Becky Gray.
A southwest Michigan Girls soccer team trying to win its third straight state title stayed alive for a possible three-peat last night. But Gull Lake needed a sudden-death penalty kick shootout victory to survive as they beat Mason 2-1 in a Vicksburg Division Two Regional semi-final match. The Blue Devils will face Holland Christian in Friday’s Regional Championship game.
