COLDWATER (WTVB) – The Branch County Suicide Prevention Coalition had an active 2014 and the group remains busy this year with fund raising and awareness activities. At the end of next month, there’s a free Michigan Suicide Prevention Conference happening at the Lansing Center. The event on April 30th will cover such topics at suicide and biology, bullying, SafeTalk, signs of depression, Secondary Trauma, and Veterans and Suicide. The free conference with workshops is hosted by the Michigan Departments of Human Services and Community Health and the Michigan Association of Suicide Prevention. Eric Hipple, former Detroit Lions quarterback and Outreach Coordinator at the University of Michigan Depresssion Center will be the keynote speaker, again on April 30th at the Lansing Center.
