BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – After winning the Class C girls volleyball state title last weekend, it’s no surprise that the Bronson Lady Vikings are well represented on the all state team. Senior setter Alexa Ratkowski and junior hitter Jill Pyles were named to the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association Class C All State Team. Kirin Cekander and Allison Sikorski were named to the Second Team, while Quincy’s Mackenzie Moore was named Honorable Mention.
Ratkowski, Pyles, and Cekander were also named to their BCS Conference Blue All Division Team, with Ratkowski selected Most Valuable Player. Sikorski and Kiana Mayer were Honorable Mention.
The Michigan High School Athletic Association football finals are today and tomorrow at Ford Field in Detroit. The Division 8 final is this morning at 10 a.m., followed by the Division 2, Division 6, and Division 4 games. Chelsea, which beat Coldwater in the Division 3 semi-final game this past Sunday, will play Orchard Lake St Mary’s Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in that championship game.
