BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – In high school baseball, the Bronson Vikings swept a doubleheader from Branch County rival Union City on Wednesday by scores of 15-0 and 11-4 as the Vikings improved to 14-1 for the season. Ethan Cossairt and Noah Roberts were the winning pitchers for Bronson.
Brett Sikorski had seven RBI’s in the doubleheader including five in the first game when he collected four hits. Thadd Herman drove in the three runs in the opener. Tyler Roussey had three hits in the nightcap.
Union City’s Eli Way had two singles and scored twice in the second game. The Chargers record dropped to 8-7.

Winners for Bronson in boys meet were Courtney Salesman in high jump and the 440, Gavin Alger in the 110 hurdles, Blake Bucklin in the mile and 880 and Marcus Broom in the two mile. Bronson took two out of three relays winning the two mile and 880 relays.
Winners for Bronson in the girls meet included Danielle Fisher who finished first in the high jump and 100 hurdles along with Adrianna Sanchez in the long jump and Alyssa Hagen in the 100.
Boys—Quincy 84, Reading 52;
Quincy 72, Homer 65 (double dual)
Quincy winners were Jonathan Purvis in the discus, Bryce Ruhl in the high jump and the 200, Brandon Gary in the 3200 and Nathan Nohr in the 1600. Quincy also won the 3200 relay.
Girls—Quincy 95, Homer 41;
Reading 88, Quincy 49 (double dual)
Quincy winners were Katie Spaulding in the pole vault and the 400, Kayla Hayes in the discus and the shot put along with Jessica Holcomb in the long jump.
