COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Department will be one of the sites Saturday taking part in the Drug Enforcement Administration National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Congressman Tim Walberg says citizens can dispose of expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Throwing them into the trash, burying them or flushing them down the toilet could potentially result in safety and health hazards.
Last September, people around the country turned in over 700,000 pounds of prescription drugs.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is free and anonymous. No questions will be asked.
