DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Red Wings and goalie Petr Mrazek avoided an arbitration hearing yesterday by agreeing to a new contract. The two-year deal is reportedly worth $8 million. Mrazek had a 27-16-3 record with four shutouts, a 2.33 goals against average and a .921 save percentage in 54 games for Detroit last season.
The 24-year-old from the Czech Republic was a fifth-round draft pick by the Wings in 2010.
