COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- The Children’s Museum of Branch County will be opening up in the Fairfield Plaza by June 1, 2017.
Museum Board President Kayla Gray says the group signed the lease for the new location Monday.
Gray says the new building will offer 4,200 square feet as compared to 2,400 square feet at the old location in downtown Coldwater.
The museum opened in downtown Coldwater during the 2014 Strawberry Fest, but officials were forced to find a new home after the building they were in at 53 West Chicago was sold about a year ago.
Board Vice President Charlene Fincham says they want to offer children something they can’t find elsewhere.
Funds need to be raised as the museum moves into a new location. Local businesses that donate will be recognized in a three tier system. More information can be found at www.childrensmuseumofbranchcounty.com or on the museum’s Facebook page.
