ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Lions unveiled four newly designed uniforms at an event at Ford Field last night. For home games, Detroit will dress in Honolulu Blue jerseys with silver numbers and silver pants with a blue stripe. The away uniform will have the traditional white jersey with Honolulu Blue numbers and blue pants and the color rush option features steel gray jerseys and pants with white numbers.
The home, away and color rush jerseys will have the word “Lions” on the right shoulder and the letters “WCF” on the left shoulder in honor of late owner William Clay Ford senior.
The throwback uniform has a Honolulu Blue jersey with silver numbers and silver pants, without striping or lettering on the shoulders. The Lions last wore throwback uniforms during their Thanksgiving Day game against the New England Patriots in 2010.
