BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – In a key Interstate 8 Conference track and field meet Tuesday, the Coldwater boys team edged out Harper Creek 82-81.
Connor Covert led a Coldwater sweep of all places in the Shot Put and the Discus. Shuaib Aljabaly won all three distance races and led off Coldwater’s winning 3200 Meter Relay. Jaden Coney won the Long Jump, Adam Bailey won the 300 Meter Hurdle race and Coney led off Coldwater’s winning 400 Meter Relay. The Coldwater boys team remains undefeated in the Interstate Eight.
In girls track and field, Harper Creek topped Coldwater 97-66. Coldwater winners were Elka Machan in the 3200, Jasmine Wellet in both of the hurdle races, Claire Sheppard in the high jump, Kaci White in the shot put and Jordan Bouse in the discus. Coldwater won the 400 relay.

Coldwater evened their record at 4-4 with an 8-0 victory over Three Rivers. Emma Grife, Meredith Grife, Amber Aquire and Merlyn Johnson all won their singles matches for Coldwater. The doubles winners were Allison Eastmead and Emily Foulk, Mikaela Daoud and Faith Herendeen, Gabby Boston and Loveleen Lalia along with Payton Molnar and Melissa Vozar.
Bronson 4, Berrien Springs 4 (TIE)
The Vikings got their points from Morgan Hoard at number four singles as well as from the doubles teams of Ellary Russell and Grace Shortridge, Alexis McNees and Lizzy Smith as well as from Shelby Souva & Heidi Neutz.
