COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school basketball, Coldwater had three players finish in double figures as they defeated Jackson Lumen Christi 68-42 on Tuesday night for their sixth straight win. Gage McGuire had 14 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Colin Warner also had 14 points and three assists while McDonald’s Player of the Game Ethan Wiley had 11 points, three rebounds and three steals.
Coldwater led 27-19 at the half and then busted the game open with a 24-14 third quarter. The Cardinals are now 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the Interstate 8.
Coldwater also won the JV game 38-37. The Cardinals were led by Bryce Lafferty with 10 points. Lumen Christi won the freshman game 50-41.
Concord 63, Quincy 48
Quincy suffered their first loss of the season in the Big 8 as they were beaten by Concord 63-48. Quincy trailed 36-26 at the half. Concord put the game out of reach with a 18-2 third quarter. The Orioles drop to 3-1 in the Big 8 and 5-3 overall.
Union City 47, Springport 31
Union City got their first win in the Big 8 with a 47-31 win over Springport. The Chargers are now 1-3 in the Big 8 and 4-5 overall.
Pittsford 55, Tekonsha 48
Anthony Layne led the Indians with 17 points. Tekonsha is now 3-6.

Holding a slim 13-9 lead after a sluggish opening quarter, the Coldwater Lady Cardinals out scored Jackson Lumen Christi 49-9 the rest of the way as they posted a 62-18 victory. Coldwater improves to 8-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
Malorie Rzepka led the Cards with 13 points. Samantha Rodesiler and Emilee Smoker added nine points apiece. Smoker also had seven rebounds and six assists. Olivia Foley had eight points, six rebounds, five assists and seven steals.
The Coldwater JV girls team beat Lumen Christi 42-34 as they improved to 4-7. Kelsi Herlan led Coldwater with 12 points. Meanwhile, the Coldwater freshman defeated Gull Lake 35-34. Merna Yaldo scored 12 points while Taylor Wilber had 10 points.
Bronson 58, Quincy 45
After falling behind 16-12 after the first quarter, Bronson rallied for a 58-45 win over Quincy. Kiera Lasky led Bronson with 24 points while Hannah Economou had 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead Quincy.
