COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Downtown Development Authority Board approved a quote of just over $9,300 Wednesday to repaint 69 decorative lamp posts in order to improve their appearance, maintenance and long term use.
Interim City Manager Keith Baker says Commercial Painting Services of Quincy was chosen from three firms that were contacted.
They plan to do a three step process that will involve a primer, a rust inhibitor and paint that will create a black gloss finish.
Baker says the light poles have been around since they were installed as part of the Streetscape project in 1984.
He added Commercial Painting Services are also working on the painting of the Clemens Pork Processing facility.
Work on the lamp posts will take place in the spring.
