ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – An Eaton Rapids man is in the Steuben County Jail following an armed robbery at the C.V.S. Pharmacy on North Wayne Street in Angola Thursday afternoon.
The suspect was identified as 53-year-old Kenneth Alan Baker.
Angola Police say he allegedly pointed a small handgun at the Pharmacist and demanded money and medication at about 1:40pm. The Pharmacist complied with the demand and no one was injured.
A caller reported the robbery and was able to provide a detailed description to police.
Officers from several departments were able to set up a perimeter around the store. When the suspect left, he was ordered to stop but he ignored the commands. A Tazer was then used on the suspect and he was taken into custody.
Baker was taken to Cameron Hospital before being booked into the Steuben County Jail on charges in connection with the robbery.
Angola Police say Baker was wanted on a parole warrant out of Michigan and that was allegedly in possession of a stolen vehicle out of Clare.
All of the medications and money was recovered along with a small handgun. The case is still under investigation.
