BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson High School girls volleyball team captured the Michigan High School Athletic Association Class C state championship for a second straight season in 2016, and they were also champions in the classroom.
It was announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association Monday that the Bronson squad is one of 277 girls high school teams around the country to receive a Team Academic Award for the 2016-2017 season.
The award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.
The AVCA Team Academic Award is celebrating its 25th year.
