LAS VEGAS, NV (WTVB) – The Detroit Pistons play the Chicago Bulls in the second round of the Summer League tournament tomorrow in Las Vegas. Detroit beat the Minnesota Wild 64-59 in their first round match up on Wednesday.
The Pistons were 1-2 in three preliminary games before beginning tournament play.
Basketball is holding court in Detroit again as the Big 3 is making a stop at Little Caesars Arena tonight. The 3-on-3 basketball league was founded by Ice Cube and features eight teams made up of former NBA players.
The Pistons are well represented as Bad Boy Rick Mahorn is a coach, while legend Chauncy Billups along with Jason Maxiell and Jerome Williams play on teams in the league. Carlos Boozer, Baron Davis,
Metta World Peace and Amar’e Stoudemire are also scheduled to be on the floor while NBA icon Julius “Dr. J” Erving, Detroit native George “The Iceman” Gervin and WNBA star and Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman will be on the bench.
