MARENGO TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB/WNWN) – A semi that was hauling car parts caught fire on Sunday on westbound I-94 near the rest area in Calhoun County’s Marengo Township.
The Michigan State Police reports the semi which caught fire and the trailer became engulfed in flames.
West bound traffic on I-94 was shut down briefly before the left shoulder and the left lane were partially opened for traffic.
No injuries were reported.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, fire departments from Marengo and Marshall Townships, Bud’s Towing and Patriot Spill Response assisted at the scene.
