COLDWATER TOWNSHIP, MI. – (WTVB) – For the second time this week, an early morning house fire broke out in Branch County on Friday.
A fully engulfed house fire at 237 South Willowbrook Road north of Dorrance Road was reported at 5:19 a.m..
Reports from the scene indicate no one was home at the time the fire broke out.
Coldwater firefighters were initially dispatched. Mutual aid was requested from the Quincy and Lakeland Fire Departments. Both departments provided tankers to help battle the flames.
Life Care Ambulance was also sent to the scene. The Branch County Sheriff’s Department handled traffic control as South Willowbrook between Sauk River Road and Dorrance Road had to be shut down.
There is no official report yet on the cause of the fire or if there were any injuries.
