COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -After several delays, the Coldwater City Planning Commission has approved the site plan for a proposed $6 million apartment complex development. A month ago, the Planning Commission had a public hearing on the Carriage Circle apartment project which is set to be located on more than 10 acres of property at the northeast corner of North Drive and Anderson Drive on the city’s northeast side.
A number of design questions and property value issues surfaced at the hearing and were still left unresolved at a special planning commission session in December. However, last night, the site plan was given unanimous approval.
The developers are Southwest Michigan Land Associates, LLC. The Carriage Circle complex would include eight buildings and 128 apartment units. Also last night, Aloha Miller was elected chairperson and Al Swain vice-chair for the Planning Commission for 2015. Their next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday February Second.
