COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Similar to what other hospitals in the region and nation are doing to protect patients and visitors against the flu epidemic, the Community Health Center of Branch County is temporarily limiting visitation in all areas of the hospital in Coldwater until further notice. Throughout the hospital, visitors must be 15 years or older. In the OB Department, only the patient’s immediate family members can visit. And in the emergency room, only 2 visitors per patient are allowed.
In addition, hospital officiials asking people not to visit if they are sick with the flu or show any signs or symptoms in the past 24 hours such as fever, chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, and fatigue. The Community Health Center has posted signs throughout the hospital and at all entrances with details of the visitor restrictions.
