COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The winter wallop that whipped into Branch County and Southern Lower Michigan beginning Wednesday night with a double whammy of dangerous wind chills and mounting snowfall totals continues this morning, a day after extreme weather shut down all schools in the area yesterday. And it’s more of the same for today with no classes county-wide as winter weather and wind chill advisories remain part of the forecast.
The good news so far since yesterday is that no serious injuries have been reported by law enforcement agencies in the county from traffic accidents and any fire calls locally have been minor in nature, mostly for medical first responders.
