COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Community Health Center of Branch County lost a lot of money again last year but the red ink in 2014 was about $1.7 million less than what the hospital lost in 2013 and officials at CHC believe the positive trend will continue this year. The financial details were reviewed at last night’s regular meeting of the Health Center Board of Trustees.
The hospital’s net income loss for last year was $3-million. In 2013, it was $4,644,000. CHC is carrying some momentum on the books into 2015. Board Finance Committee Chairman Lindy Cox reported that in December, the health center had a pro-forma income of $89,000 as compared to a November loss of $122,000.
The month and the year both closed with positive earnings before interest, depreciation, and amortization.
