COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Gasoline prices jumped 25 cents to 30 cents a gallon in most of Branch County yesterday and across west Michigan after a four day rally of crude oil on global markets. Prices spiked to $2.35 a gallon at some stations and others are expected to follow.
Greg Laskowski at Gas Buddy.com says a workers strike in Texas, refinery maintenance and other seasonal factors are to blame. On the bright side, we are still paying $1.20 less a gallon than we were at this time last year.
