COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Community Health Center of Branch County says Wear Red. Speak Red. Go Red for Women. Wear Red to fight heart disease today on National Wear Red Day. Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. Heart disease claims the lives of more than 422,000 American women each year.
CHC officials say together we can make a difference, and they’ve made it their mission to fight heart disease among women. The Health Center says you can love your heart by being physically active, eating a heart-healthy diet, and being educated about heart disease and its risk factors.
CHC provides patients with information about heart disease in women and how they can fight back. They urge everyone to share this information with 5 women so we can help end heart disease in our lifetime.
