COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The prospects for a splash park at the Heritage Park Recreation Complex in Coldwater are looking a lot brighter thanks to a pair of large donations from the two Coldwater Rotary Clubs. Coldwater Mayor Tom Kramer announced at last night’s City Council meeting that the Noon Rotary and Sunrise Rotary Club have each committed $75,000 toward the development of a splash park.
The project is designed to help fill the void left with the closure last fall of the Heritage Park swimming pool, which was shut down in advance of last month’s opening of the new Robert W. Browne Aquatic Center in Coldwater.
Kramer also said the City is working hard on trying to obtain a sizable DNR grant that if approved could make plans for a splash park become a reality this fall.
