COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Every year, the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce seeks to honor the people and organizations that help to make Branch County a better place to live. Thursday night at the Dearth Center, the Chamber hosted its 62nd Annual Awards Dinner.
- John Newberry, who has spent countless hours promoting events and causes in Quincy, was named Citizen of the Year.
- The Foundation Golf Center was recognized as Business of the Year for helping to increase the popularity of golf not just locally, but regionally.
- Coldwater High School history teacher Jay Henry was named Educator of the Year.
- Five years after being spun off by the Chamber, the non-profit Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show was honored as the Outstanding Community Program for giving its proceeds back to fellow non-profit groups and charities.
- Quinn White, Deputy Coldwater City Clerk was named Young Professional of the Year.
The Awards Dinner will be rebroadcast on Charter channel 189 and CBPU Telecom channel 95 on March 27th and April 3rd at 9am, 1pm, 4pm, and 8pm each day.
