LAGRANGE, IN (WTVB) – A Bronson man was one of 3 people seriously injured over the weekend in a rollover traffic accident that authorities say may have been alcohol related. Indiana Conservation Officers say 57-year old Robert Cossairt was driving a pickup truck in LaGrange County south of Sturgis near the Michigan-Indiana border when the vehicle left the roadway, hit an embankment, and rolled on its side.
The passengers in the truck were identified 50-year old Deneen Printke of Remus, Michigan, and 58-year old Dennis Evans of Orland, Indiana. They were flown from the scene to Parkview Regional Hospital in Ft. Wayne. Cossairt today was listed in good condition. The hospital said Printke and Evans were no longer at their facility but otherwise declined any information on their conditions.
The accident occurred just before 11 pm Friday in the area of LaGrange County Road 125 East and County Road 800 North and was witnessed by a Conservation Officer who was patrolling the area and he summoned for help to respond to the crash site to assist in extricating the passengers from the pickup.
