COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Monday is the last day you can register to vote for the elections on May 5th when the fate of a pair of bond issues will be decided in the Coldwater School District ,while the statewide ballot will contain Proposal One and the request for the one cent sales tax increase to help fund road repairs. The controversial roads proposal has its share of backers but a number of opponents as well. Several polls showed that most folks weren’t buying the argument that the roads were dangerous.
Proponents have shifted the strategy of their televsion advertisements from a negative message to a positive one. The Vote Yes! group behind the ads says they have enough money to keep the campaign going right up to the election.
