The Branch County Road Commission’s springtime road weight restrictions will be lifted as of 6AM Thursday. The so-called frost law load reducing provisions went into effect nearly a month ago on March tenth. The effort to limit heaving and buckling pavements ended earlier this year than in 2014 when this area experienced the worst winter weather conditions in a number of decades. The road weight limits last year in Branch County were imposed around the same time on March 12th but they didn’t come off until April 17th .
