CHARLOTTE, MI (WTVB) – For the third straight year, Coldwater High School has one of the top bands in the state. The CHS Symphonic Band received a Division One rating at the Michigan State Band and Orchestra Association state band festival Friday night at the Charlotte High School Performing Arts Center. The band received straight ones from 3 judges on their 3 prepared pieces, and a two rating on sight reading, good for an overall one. The Symphonic Band qualified for the state festival by receiving a one rating at the district band festival at Three Rivers earlier this year.
