COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After the defeat of the two bond proposals to fund major renovations and additions for the Coldwater School District, school officials have begun the process of the looking at what’s next for the district. Included in the first bond question was money to completely renovate the Coldwater High School football stadium, with updated stands, a new press box, turf football field, and a new track.
The Larsen Unitrust announced earlier this year a $1 million gift to the school district to hep with the cost of the work, meant as challenge to the community to help pass the bond proposals. Coldwater Superintendent of Schools Dr Tina Kerr said after the bond vote failures that school officials would be meeting with Larsen Unitrust representatives to determine the status of gift and determine the next step.
The next meeting for the Coldwater Board of Education is Monday, May 18 at 6 p.m.
