CHICAGO, IL (WTVB) – Tom Thibodeau is out as head coach of the Chicago Bulls. He was fired Thursday after five seasons with Chicago. The Bulls were eliminated in six games by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Thibodeau had two years and nine-million-dollars remaining on his contract. He was the 2010—2011 season NBA Coach of the Year. The NBA Finals between the Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors tip-off in Oakland next Thursday.
