COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The analysts said that gas prices would drop after Memorial Day….what happened? The so-called experts are sticking to their predictions adding it just hasn’t happened yet. The opposite, in fact, is the real story with prices at many stations in the Branch County area spiking to around $2.80 a gallon over the weekend.
Nationwide, they jumped 4-cents a gallon to $2.84. AAA of Michigan blames higher prices for crude oil and local refinery issues for the hike at the pumps.
