COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It appears there’s been a major meth bust on Coldwater’s east side. It started with a traffic stop in the city around midnight when officers said they discovered evidence of suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle. A search warrant was sought and after it was issued, City Police went to East Wind Apartments at 299 Cutter Avenue around 3 a.m.
One lane of Michigan Avenue located just east of the apartments and north of U.S. 12 was shut down for a time while the investigation continued. The Branch County Sheriff’s Department also assisted at the scene. A man and a woman were taken into custody.
