COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – May was a start-up month for the Branch County Sheriff’s Department Marine Patrol and now their motors are really revved up and ready to go and they’d like to help you make sure it’s likewise for your boat. This Saturday, the Marine Patrol will be doing boat inspections at the Narrows Road Public Access site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can arrive by water or bring the boat by on a trailer.
Then Saturday, June 13th, it’s a boater safety class at the 911 center and you should call the Sheriff’s Office to register at 278-2325. And finally, on Saturday, June 20th, it’s the Marine Patrol Boater Appreciation Day, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the tent behind the Sheriff’s Department at 580 Marshall Road.
Marine Patrol officials say they want to thank the public for their support and invite you to stop by to have a hot dog, look over their boats and meet the Marine Patrol Deputies.
