COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Branch County encourages cancer survivors and their caregivers to attend a celebration of life and hope on June 27th at 6:00pm with dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. The annual Survivors’ Dinner will take place in Pierce Hall located at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
The event commemorates the lives of hundreds of Branch County residents who have survived cancer, while offering the hope of finding a cure. With the help of local sponsors the committee will offer a complimentary meal to each registered cancer survivor and his or her guest. Survivors in attendance will also enjoy live entertainment and fun door prizes. Megan Wilczynski, Event Chair , says every survivor is invited whether they were diagnosed today, yesterday, or 10 years ago.
All Survivors will be able to register at or before the event where they will receive their purple survivor t-shirt. Pre-registration day is set for June 11th from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Community Health Center of Branch County Cancer Care & Conference Center. Relay for Life is an overnight community event bringing together teams of families, friends, churches, neighborhoods, and businesses – all with the same goal of curing cancer. This year’s event is being held June 27th -28th 10:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
