COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The weekend weather for Branch County today and tomorrow packed with events appears to be a 50/50 venture with some sunshine today but then showers and thunderstorms likely for Sunday afternoon and evening. The happenings include today’s 22nd Annual Great Hospice Duck Race 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Waterworks Park in Coldwater. The event benefits the Community Health Center of Branch County hospice program. And tomorrow, it’s the 69th annual Fly-In Breakfast from 7 a.m. to Noon hosted by the Branch County Memorial Airport. Also on Sunday at 5pm, it’s graduation ceremonies for the Coldwater High School Class of 2015. Due to the forecast for severe thunderstorms, the ceremonies have been moved indoors to the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium. Doors will open at 4pm; parents and community members are reminded that they must have tickets with them in order to attend.
By the way, the Branch County Marine Patrol will have one of its boats on display today from Noon to 3 at Gander Mountain with Sergeant Rick Holtgrave on hand. Also, he plans on being at the Fly-In breakfast tomorrow with the Marine Patrol’s HoverCraft.
