COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s been a slow start to the severe weather season in Branch County and Southwest Michigan but that could change later today on this first full day of the summer of 2015. The National Weather Service says there is an enhanced risk of severe storms starting late this afternoon through early tonight for southern lower Michigan, all of northern Indiana, and northwest Ohio.
The greatest risk is for damaging wind gusts between 60 and 75 mph. Large hail and heavy rainfall are secondary risks. Isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
