COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In Mickey Mantle summer league baseball Sunday night, Coldwater swept a doubleheader at home over Bronson 12-8 and 14-0. In the opener, Alex Everett picked up the win in relief of Mitchell Duda. Everett tossed one-hit, no run ball over 2-and-a-third innings with one walk and 2 strikeouts. Collin Torrey had a double and a single and 2 RBI’s while Caleb Letendre had an RBI with 2 singles. Bryce Barringer had 2 RBI’s with a double and Lucas Santure also had 2 RBI’s with a single.
In the four inning nightcap, Torrey started and earned the win, working 3 innings with one hit allowed and 5 strikeouts and one walk. On offense, Jordan Butler had 2 singles and 3 RBI’s while Cameron Barnes and Kameron Miller each had a single with 2 RBI’s.
Coldwater improved to 27-6 and tonight, they play a doubleheader at home against the HBF Maroons.
