COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There were a few isolated reports in Branch County of trees or limbs and wires down this morning when a line of thunderstorms with heavy rains and frequent lightning moved into the county from the west around 9:30 a.m. Southwestern St. Joseph County was put under a severe thunderstorm warning at 8:45 a.m. Monday with reports of 60 mph winds and hail, and Steuben County was included in another warning for northeast Indiana at 9:30 a.m.
In the city of Coldwater, a few homes lost power when lightning struck a utility pole near a home at Morse and Smith streets. And in the City of Bronson, a large tree came down along with power lines near 216 Buchanan Street.
